Pierre Dechambenoit is associate professor in chemistry in the Environment, Health & Safety department of the Institute of Technology (IUT) of the University of Bordeaux.
His research at the Centre de Recherche Paul Pascal (CRPP, CNRS and University of Bordeaux) deals on the rational design of magnetic molecular materials by an electrochemical (redox) approach.
He is particularly interested in the fundamental factors that govern the magnetic interactions between molecular components in order to be able to better exploit and optimize them (synergy).
His IUF project is a continuation of this work, and will aim at the promotion of large electonic and spin delocalizations within metallo-organic architectures, in order to enhance certain properties (conductivity, magnetism, optics), with probable interactions and interdependencies.
